Music Ministries

We at Church of the Covenant believe that music plays a vital part of worship and praise. All of our ensembles are open to everyone regardless of music knowledge or experience.

Chancel Choir
The Covenant Adult Choir is an adult SATB vocal group that is open to all that would faithfully serve the Lord with their voice. This group of singers provides the anthem music at the 9:00 service along with special presentations at Holiday times of the year. Music performed by this group includes classics from all genres as well as new and contemporary works. From Bach to Rutter, Spirituals to Southern Gospel, the Sanctuary Choir works tirelessly to worship the Lord in song. We also have several social functions during the year to promote fellowship and camaraderie among its members. Anyone considering making Covenant their new church home should also consider themselves invited to join this choir. Rehearsals are weekly on Thursday nights from 6:30 - 8:00pm.

Redeemed
Our Praise Band, Redeemed, consists of piano, guitars, bass, drums, singers, and just about anything we can get our hands on to lift up praise to God in song. The band performs a mixture of the latest in praise and worship music as well as traditional contemporary christian music. We also have a strong outreach program in which the core of the group performs throughout the community. The group also plays for special occasions and social functions throughout the year. The group plays regularly during the 11:00am Sunday morning worship service.

Handbells
The newest of our ensembles is one of our more popular with worshipers. The handbell choir performs regularly at the 9:00am Sunday morning worship services and several times throughout the year. Also, special occasions and holidays find our ringers in demand for various community and social events. It has instantly become a powerful outreach ministry as well as enhancing our own worship. The bells rehearse on Sundays at 4:00pm during the school year. When they are off for the summer, our special handbell quartet takes over for some real drama and wonder.
