A LETTER FROM PASTOR JON
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! Sunday morning May 17 we had a wonderful “Drive-in Worship” in our parking lot. It was well attended, and the weather was beautiful! Next Sunday, we will have a beautiful Memorial Weekend worship in our parking lot at 10 a.m. There will be the great music of our God and nation. There will be wonderful trumpet fan fares. There will be children’s sermon. There will be the preached Word! Then on Sunday May 31 Drive in Worship at 10 a.m., we will celebrate our great God on Trinity Sunday! Our church is beginning to open again!
On Sunday June 7 we will worship in our beloved buildings! There is much to be considered and plans put in place. We want you to be informed about how we will gather. We want to hear from you as we work on opening Covenant Church. Therefore, you will receive questionnaires or surveys for your input. You will receive regular updates so that you are aware of what the plans will be.
If you know of any church members or attendees who do not use email or Facebook, please ask them to contact the church office so that we can provide them with all updates regarding reopening the church.
Covenant United Methodist Church is the place of “Covenant Love.” We are looking forward to being together shortly.
In the Resurrection Love of Jesus,
Jon E. Tellifero,
Sunday Worship Times:
Important News Regarding COVID-19
Covenant UMC will remain CLOSED until further notice. There will be no worship services, Sunday school classes, Bible studies or any other gatherings due to the Governor's emergency declaration for social distancing to help bring the COVID-19 virus under control. In the meantime, worship will continue through the Covenant YouTube channel which you can access through Facebook or the church website.
Also, please continue with your regular financial giving to the church. There will certainly be an increased need during times like these so your giving is important. This can be done by mailing a check to the church office or by clicking the Online Giving button below.
Stay well and continue to love your neighbor!
